What our staff say
‘I have learned how to do industrial cleaning with Peeters on the job. In the meantime I have also picked up a lot of qualifications: VCA VOL, high pressure jet operator, fork lift and cherry picker certification... Since I acquired my C driving licence I have become a machinist and drive a number of different vehicles; I am a real all-rounder.
In this job you always need to be aware of the dangers of working with high pressure equipment and dealing with hazardous materials. You also need not to get claustrophobic, if you are going to enter enclosed spaces like a tank! Working at night or over weekends is part of it: but that does mean that I am sometimes free in the daytime and can take my kids to school. At Peeters the work is different each day!'
Gerry de Groen, operator
Things move fast for the experienced technicians of our R&D department. We are often called out by clients to their sites to seek hands-on for a ready-made solution for the problem in hand. We interpret that as a challenge. Is it a case of improving or adapting existing equipment, or can we think of a new, innovative way? The starting point is always both to safeguard the safety of the staff and to push efficiency forward. Sometimes this is where the future is created, under intense time pressure.’
